Bastions BASTIONS A character can have a bastion constructed by paying its cost. AC and HP. Bastions have an AC and HP. At 0 HP, the bastion's walls are breached. Ordinary weapons can't damage bastions, but siege weapons, destructive elements like fire, and huge creatures (such as giants) can. Repair. Repairing damage to a bastion takes 1 week and costs 1 gp per HP restored. Upgrade. PCs can add an upgrade to a bastion by paying its cost. Each upgrade takes a week to build. Limit one of each upgrade per bastion. Safety. Bastions provide safe shelter from the weather, climate, and random encounters. DISASTERS Each month, roll a d6. On a 1, your bastion suffers a disaster. Roll on the Disasters Table. d4 Details 1 Enemy warband! An army of 2d8 enemy warbands approaches 2 Natural disaster! A fire, storm, or earthquake does 1d100 damage to your bastion 3 Pestilence! All residents DC 12 CON check or contract rat disease 4 Dragonstrike! A hostile dragon approaches; it retreats if below half HP DISASTERS BASTION TYPES House. A typical sturdy domicile such as a cabin or cob hut. Outpost. A fortified camp with 15' high wooden palisade walls. Keep. 60' tall tower, three floors. Supports 1 siege weapon on roof. Castle. 30' high crenelated walls surround a keep (included) and inner courtyard. Walls fit 8 siege weapons (excluding trebuchets).
